MOT FAQs
Quick answers to common questions. If you need help booking, call 01948 984987.
When is my MOT due?
Your MOT is due every year. You can usually test up to one month (minus a day) before the expiry date and keep the same renewal date.
What should I bring?
Just bring the vehicle. If you have any notes about issues you’ve noticed, tell us when you drop it off.
What happens if it fails?
We’ll explain the reasons and what’s needed to put it right. If you’d like, we can discuss repairs and arrange a retest.
How long does an MOT take?
Times vary by vehicle, but most MOTs are completed the same day. We’ll confirm timings when you book in.
Can you do MOT and service together?
Yes—many customers book an MOT with a service so everything is handled in one visit.
Do you test vans?
Yes, we carry out MOTs for cars and vans. If you’re unsure which class applies, contact us and we’ll advise.
